How to Establish an Organizational Flexibility

A true agile organization embraces flexibility and changes but being flexible does not necessarily means there is no rules to follow. A successful agile organization will maintain its stability and values that formed organization while encourage flexible working solutions. There are several ways of how organization could enable flexibility; thus, become an agile organization.

Implement a Flatter Structure

The business operation of an agile organization could have shorter time in a decision making since organization implements a flatter structure. This structure adjusts every level of organization in a hierarchical structure accordingly and as flat as possible to allow organization to shorten the length of decision making.

Enable Small Teams

The establishment of small teams will result big changes within the company if it has a unified vision. Small teams should have clear boundaries of team members, information flows, and a fair policy in order to thrive.

Build Teams Based on Skills

The traditional way organization builds a team has to change. Organization should start to consider skills as one of the parameters when building a team. Organization shall be able to find the right people with the right skills to be placed into a team.

Encourage Self-autonomy

In creating an engaged workforce, organization should be able to encourage self-autonomy in which self-management and self-direction are encouraged. Organization that has enable self-autonomy will manage an ability to grow, learn, and create a willingness to achieve the purpose.

Hire a Digital Native Talent

As the world is going digital, organization shall understand that digital savvy is highly required. Resources who have knowledge and ability regarding digital technology compliment with relevant soft skills will enable a faster contribution.
