In workplace, employees write emails, facilitate meetings, participate in conference calls, create reports, devise presentation, and others. Employees can spend almost of their entire day communicating because it is beneficial and effective for getting the job done, as well as build a sense of trust and increase productivity. Furthermore, there are 7 C’s of communication principles that shall be known to ensure that the communication is effective.


Clear emphasizes on a specific message or goal at a time, rather than trying to achieve too much at once. Clear in communication makes communication is easier to understand, achieves complete clarity of thoughts and ideas that enhances the meaning of message, and utilize exact, appropriate and concrete words.


Concise means communicating what people want to convey in least possible words without neglecting other C's of communication because it underlines and highlights the main message and avoids using excessive and needless words; it is more appealing and comprehensible to the audience as well as time-saving and cost-saving.


Concrete communication implies being particular and clear rather than fuzzy and general. Concrete in communication is important as it is supported with specific facts and figures and it uses clear words and builds the reputation.


Correct in communication implies that there are no grammatical errors in communication. Correct in communication is important as it checks for the precision and accurateness of facts and figures used in the message and it utilizes appropriate and correct language in the message.


When the communication is coherent, it is logical because every point is connected and relevant to the main topic and discussion, also the tone and flow of the message that being deliver is consistent.


The communication must be complete. It should convey all facts required by the audience. The sender of the message must consider the receiver’s mindset and convey the message accordingly.


Courteous means that communication is friendly, open, and honest. There are no hidden insults or passive-aggressive tones. It shows the sender’s expression as well as shows respect to the receiver. The sender of the message should be sincerely polite, judicious, reflective and enthusiastic.


To sum up, by knowing the 7 C's of communication principles, it can be useful and beneficial for employee to do their work efficiently and increase their productivity which can lead to organizational growth and advancement.
